Reflections on Brassicas

I Love To Run

I didn't want to run, today. Or rather, I thought that I didn't want to run. However, once I'd exhausted all my avenues for procrastination, and once I'd recalled that my first half-ironman is stampeding towards me like an angry rhino, I headed reluctantly out into the frozen tundra.

As soon as the sun hit my face, and my feet hit the frozen earth, I was glad to be out. I love to run. Every time that I go running, I'm consciously grateful that I'm able to run. I never take it for granted.

This photo was taken a mile from home, on an old wooden footbridge, spanning the River Eau. What a glorious day.
