In the Crib

Linden is getting so long, he's outgrowing his bassinet. I was worried about the transition to the crib, but Wednesday evening, he fell asleep around 9:30 pm after I fed him, so I decided to set him in his crib just to see if he stayed asleep, and he did. He probably slept better than I did as I strained to hear him if he woke. We decided not to use the monitor since our room is only about 5 feet away from his, but my ears had to filter out the other house noises: the dishwasher, humidifier, furnace, and some snoring by Linden's much more relaxed parent sleeping next to me. Linden slept well in his crib the rest of the week and even slept through the night on Thursday! (I slept much better after the first night with less worrying, although I may need to wake up to pump some milk so I can sleep more comfortably if he continues to sleep through the night!) We're so proud of him, so I wanted to take a photo of him in the crib today. Just to demonstrate how long he is: he's wearing a 6-month-old fleece sleeper here, and he's filling the length pretty well.
