Pink Camellia
Today I went up to the Royal Botanical Gardens. I love wandering around this place, even in the winter. There is less birdlife around at the moment, probably because of the reduced water levels. Still I did see a few tweeties, and there were a number of flowers still in bloom. The camellias and magnolias are lovely, and the succulents have flowers which attract the wattlebirds and honeyeaters. Half way round, of course, it rained (quite hard). Luckily I was able to wait it out under a bower and so I didn't get too wet. The camera is finally back to the use I bought it for...taking pictures of birds and flowers...especially ones I need to identify later from books.
Hopefully the weather will clear up in the next few days, or I shall have to resort to shopping!
