The sky was so beautiful this morning just before sunrise, that I was sorely tempted to use it as my blip, but looking back over my recent entries, there seems to have been several other Dower House morning skies which have been afforded a space on Blipfoto, and so I've gone for a decaying but colourful garage entrance instead.
Nevertheless it was the most stunning colour change in the pre dawn sky, from a deep brilliant orange with streamers of peach reaching westwards to a sky, a deep icy blue grading to the palest pink.
It was all gone in about 15 minutes to be replaced by grey cloud. Late risers will never know what they missed.
I've spent rather too long this morning trying to work out the intricacies of the cabin luggage allowance for our flights to Shetland tomorrow.
It appears that although we are ostensibly booked with Flybe which has an allowance of 10Kg in a small suitcase, it is Loganair who is the operator to the Northern Isles, and their cabin luggage is restricted to 6Kgs. In the event all it appears to mean is that we have to check in our small but heavy cases.
Coming home by boat will be a dawdle.
