Small things for a big number.
This my 500th blip, which I find remarkable considering how dilatory I was in the first year or so of membership. I only started blipping every day at the beginning of last year , but it does became something of an addiction. Thanks to everybody who looks and comments and thanks to all those who have let me see their own great pictures and shared parts of their lives ; there is a huge amount of talent and a vast breadth of vision amongst blippers worldwide.
I have been watching these tiny snowdrops in the garden for about a fortnight and because they are well sheltered under bushes and beside a wall they have survived rain and wind , as well as recent frosts. We have far more daffodils than snowdrops though and there has been at least one year when the first of those were out (or almost out) at the very end of January. But depute the comparatively mild weather they are a long way off at the moment.
Indeed we seem to be coming into a cold snap which is forecast to continue for at least a week. though the snow on the hills opposite the house has melted a bit overnight.
A period of frost and sun - February weather - would be much preferable to the endless rain we have endured for many months.
