Chinese New Year
Went to see the Chinese New Year celebrations in Newcastle today. Thought it'd be a great chance to get some shots nut in fact it was so busy I was lucky to get anything other than the back of people's heads!!!!
This is a view of the Chinese Arch, built in 2004 by Shanghai craftsmen stands 11m tall on St. Andrews Street, at the northernmost extent of the Chinatown, flanked by two Chinese guardian lions and facing St James' Park football stadium. The dragon was dancing and they'd just let off firecrackers.....
This is the only other decent image I came up with.
