i think this is the last photo from my D40.. after 8 years of service it is now fu*cked!

i keep getting 'error... press shutter release button'.

i have been on numerous internet forums, taken the casing off and cleaned the plastic red cog as suggested but still fu*ked. unfortunately i have no means of replacing so will either have to borrow my wife's which is unlikely as she also blips or my son's.
