First lamb

Summer and Milo spent the afternoon at their friends' house, on a farm...great excitement with trailer rides, blue eyed puppies, mud, bikes and the birth of the first lamb of the season.

This was a bit of a rushed shot, but it was lovely to see the mother and her lamb so soon after the birth, looking entirely chilled out about the whole thing. I liked the colours too - amazing how the red and blue-green markings made by man on the mother are so perfectly echoed by the natural colours of the gunk and hooves of the little lamb.
