We were rather late to bed last night, and I wasn't keen on getting up early this morning to be at church for 8am! However, once we were there it was a fun morning, as we were singing a very lively anthem this morning, Mark Hayes arrangement of Soon and very soon, and we had a tuba accompaniment, played by one of our young basses, who used to play tuba in college marching band. It's so much fun to sing and always greatly appreciated by the congregation. After lunch we had time for a walk around the lake at Sharon Woods before going to the third of our musical events this weekend, an organ recital at Hyde Park United Methodist Church. Most of our walk, unfortunately, it was rather overcast, but as we neared the end the clouds began to break up again, leaving such a pretty sky.
