Royal succession
Mrs Lathyrus brought several large bags of used stamps back from the mother-in-law's attic. I'm not sure why they have bags of stamps in the attic, probably some long forgotten Blue Peter appeal. Come to think of it I'm not sure why said bags are now in our lounge. Anyway, I had a quick look through them. I'm no expert on stamps but I doubt whether there is anything of value. However it amused me for a few minutes to pull out a 1d stamp for successive monarchs from Victoria onwards - no penny blacks but an orange-brown 1d from the 1840s. I could only find a halfpenny stamp for Edward VIII.
