Shaikh Isa House
It was an on Island Tour organised by the American Women's Association today, which is done once a month and the calendar was set to visit the 'old' capital city of Bahrain, Muharraq.
We stopped at Shaikh Isa House after we've been to Al Mattar House which is a famous gallery today. Shaikh isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa House was built at the end of the 18th century. The house is characterised by its huge walls and small doors designed to protect them from the heat in summer and the severe cold in winter.
AWA is an association with many nationalities and it's such a cultural experience, we also made a stop at Kurar House, where they do the gold weaving and we concluded our tour with the Governor of Muharraq. He reiterated that Bahrain and its people will return to the Bahrain everyone knows and loves.
