I capture the castle
well, the ruined church at Reculver but it was once a Roman fort and used to be far inland. A moody shot on a grey, miserable day. For nearly 45 minutes there was just me and the seagulls on the cliffs.
And you may recognise the title of Dodie Smith's brilliant novel, set in a ramshackle castle in the 1930s, narrated by a great teenage character, Cassandra Mortmain.
