Anemones Memories
Popped out at lunchtime to buy ingredients for Thom's birthday cake (17 tomorrow!) and noticed these. I hardly ever see anemones for sale and having been feeling a tad underappreciated I bought them for myself.
They were my grandma Edie's favourite flower and after she died they were my fathers too. He died nearly 2 years ago and in later life took up watercolour painting. He painted anemones sometimes.
Whilst taking these photos I really felt him close to me. Which was lovely.
And before I wrote this I never realised that anemones sounds like memories -how lovely is that?
My aim this week is to try and get sharper shots so pleased with this in difficult lighting ( have realised just how bad the lighting in my house is!)
