I spent days and days putting together this portfolio of my photographs for a college interview. The flat is full of discarded pictures and explanatory texts after endless sorting and re-sorting.
But it was all worth it in the end because I've been made an unconditional offer for the photography course I particularly wanted to take. What's more, the chap interviewing me liked the portfolio and its design.
Today's interview went as smoothly as any interview I've had. I think it was helped by the fact that, in an effort to calm my nerves, I launched iPlayer and watched the Edinburgh Comedy Fest just before catching the train. I was rolling around laughing at a time when I should have been making last-minute checks and swotting up on apertures and exposures!
Anyway, the future's looking clearer - and it's getting more exciting by the day.
Apologies to anyone looking for a decent standard of photography in the image above. The focus is dodgy and there's more grain than in a bowl of Shredded Wheat, thanks to the mega-high ISO, but I'm tired and didn't have the energy to do a professional job. Sorry!
