Fast Work!

Mother and I baked this morning--5 loaves of bread and molasses cookies. Three loaves of bread have already been promised-2 delivered and one waiting until this evening.

The two left for us, unfortunately, smelled too good! We made fast work of this loaf--it was still warm. The butter melted into the bread (hurrah for the real butter!!) and the homemade peach jam joined it.

Sorry, this won't last long!!
