A rather lazy blip of a red church door played about with to get something (I hope) a little more interesting.
It occurred to me - why are so many church doors red? I've seen quite a few around Edinburgh. A quick search on the web seems to suggest it's representing the Passion, or Christ's blood, or just the more mundane that red paint is cheaper. Does anyone have an idea?

Stills lecture #2 tonight 'Erotica - Just a bit of fun?' - tonight's subject was addiction. Rather fascinating talk on the chemical and neurological aspects of addiction. It was loosely tied with photography in the sense that it was discussing how the internet as a medium for pornography is far more likely to lead to addiction than the latter day magazines/dvds - the instant access to such a wide variety keep the interest levels high and thus is more likely to lead to a dependency - and went into details of how the brain responds to pleasure - and pleasure overload. All in all an interesting talk.
Now I'm wishing I'd had two knockers in this pic...
