Worried about my sweet little budgie

Pookie. He is almost 9 years old. Last year he recovered from two bacterial infections and a tiney tumor under his wing was removed by my bird vet. But lately he looks odd... not sick or so.. he constantly closes his eyes, I think he lost weight (cannot weight him that good... he will fly away, he isn't clipped), but strangely enough he does eat good.. maybe too good?? I am worried that cancer has spread in his tiney little body. Wrote my bird vet, going to doctor Peter coming Thursday evening (for another 'issue'), so maybe I will take Pookie with me....
