Memories...

This is not a great photo. And it is an old photo... I have taken a photo today of an old photo that I have found on Facebook. I realise that is not quite in the spirit of Blipfoto... but I wanted to mark the memory of a man who will have no more photos. I am sorry that at the moment, today, online, this was the only photo I could find of him, and even that is only of the back of his head. In fact it is more of two other colleagues of mine. I will have some more, somewhere, backed up on a hard drive, but for now perhaps it is fitting that he should have this photo.

I heard the sad news this morning of the death of one of my colleagues, fairly recently retired. He was a great man, so knowledgeable, and such an inspiration to so many. He will be sadly missed.

So this blurry, out of focus, stolen photo, that is more of others than him, is my memorial to him today. Because this photo reminds me of so much more.
