Fiery Sunrise

It was all about the sunrise this morning. A good half hour before the breaking of the dawn our sky went through many changes.

A vibrant strip of pink hugged the horizon, nice and low, echoed by very delicate pink layers upon layers creeped through the sky, like a soft blanket - our blipper friend fernridge shot this stage.

It was to be followed by such intensity of pink with hints of gold, like someone had taken the strip of pink along the horizon and given it a good hard shake to send it scattering through the sky - our blipper friend AnnBaker caught this stage.

I was further down the road and unbeknown to everyone else was also capturing this amazing sunrise - this is the next stage, fire upon fire through the sky with subtle hints of pink just on the edges.

The interesting thing is that behind me while this fire was going on, the sky was changing to a softer vibrant pink - our blipper friend at Sumner JimHarding shot this stage.

These amazing coloured clouds reached as far as the Southern Alps - we had pink Southern Alps this morning from where I stood - it was pure magic!!

Our Canterbury sunrise - shared by many :)

Apologies to the above mentioned blippers for not linking, just can't seem to get the hang of more than one link, they seem to get terriably muddled and fly all round my script - I'll have to work on this.

Have a great night all :)

Edit: Our blipper friend Cabbagetree caught the amazing red mountains :)
