Standing alone ...

.. I watched the sun rise.

I had a wonderful run this morning along the length of Snells Beach. I saw, and photographed, a lone walker at the southern end of the beach; a lone Paradise Shelduck at the northern end; a solitary runner on the sand, also at the northern end. I then headed up the hill towards the main road, turned and looked back to see the sun about 20% above the horizon.

No one else was near as I stood, watched and took a series of photographs, ending with this one taken just after the last bit of the sun became visible above the horizon. That is Kawau Island across Kawau Bay, and the reflections of the sun are over the flats.

This is my response to the topic for this week's challenge; alone
