Yesterday's little blip star died at 11am this morning. Thank you so much everyone for your encouragement and supportive comments.

He felt cold this morning, even though he was on the hot water bottle, and was very lethargic. Wouldn't eat or drink or curl up. Took him to work and did my best, but he didn't make it.

That's what happens when you keep animals. Be prepared for heartbreak. There is a poem "Don't give your heart to a dog to tear" that I kind of remember from my subconscious, but it could apply to any animal. Even so I know if there was another hedgehog there tomorrow, I would do the same again!
