Wedding Dress

Margaret is having her final fitting for the special day. It's the Empire Line style of 1958. Satin brocade with sprigs of little flowers all over and pearl buttons up to a manderin collar. A band with a bow sits under the bust and little buttons on the narrow sleeves with a short veil over a floral hairband complete the fashionable look. White satin shoes are worn with the outfit. Cost of dress £40. -- a whole months salary!
