Accrington Market Hall

I had a couple of really good meetings today in Accrington market about the upcoming allotment project and installation which will be in the market hall in March.

I met with Ian, the growing coordinator from Prospects and we came up with lots of great and some daft arts based activities that people could take part in using various parts of the market - then I went and met the market manager who said we could do them! She was ace!

Life is so much easier when people are enthusiastic and say 'let's go for it'.

The market hall is a wonderful place, full of character and history and its recent renovation means it is all shiny and bright. Many of the upstairs units are filled with people working in the local creative industries which gives the place a very creative atmosphere.
