Chilli Tonight!
Such a grey day today - I don't think the sun came out once. It threatened snow but not a flake fell. Inspiration can just drain away on days like this and I think I've forgotten what it was like to come home and still have 3 or 4 hours of sunshine (or at least light).
I fell in love with Winter again a couple of years ago when the snow fell and stayed long enough to become crisp not slush.
Winter walks were dry and dramatic and adventurous, and sounds were muffled as snow fell brightly against moonlight or orange streetlamps.
Commuters cursed as trains were cancelled and roads closed, and I smiled as I walked the miles to work like my forefathers did daily (in bare feet as they would have us believe!)
Digression is my middle name (and what an awesome middle name if it were true!) although I'm not sure what I've diverted from, as I didn't really have a direction to start with!
These chilli's never really took off last year but I didn't expect them to still be hanging on till the last days of January! I'm not sure what the 'cycle' is but I don't think this is it!
It *is* supposed to be a chilly one tonight here in the UK - if it's a clear day I'll be happy :o)
