Thinking
Hubbie & I car-shared again today. I don't really like doing it as it means I get in to work too early and he gets in too late. And it's much more of a rush in the morning. But at least it means I can shut my eyes and try to get some more shut eye during the 1/2 hour journey!
We were debating on the way home from work tonight what to do about dinner as neither of us could really be bothered cooking. Although it's a nursery night for Ethan which usually means he's over tired and doesn't want much to eat, we decided to chance it and go to the Toby Carvery at Bathgate. So after picking him up from nursery, that's where we headed. And he was fab! The staff gave us a booster seat rather than a high chair. He has never sat in one before and whether it's that which made a difference or whether it's a co-incidence I don't know, but he stayed at the table for the duration of our meal without too much of a fuss. He even wolfed down tons of gammon and a wee bit of veg, which considering he had eaten very well at nursery today, was a real bonus!
As we weren't too far from my sisters house, we then headed over to see her. It was about 6pm by the time we got there so after a short playtime, we popped Ethan in the bath with Eden. They really enjoy playing in the bath together, especially splashing the water and soaking the grown ups!
We didn't get back home till about 7.30pm and by the time Ethan had wound down enough for bed it was nearly 9pm, so rather later than is ideal on a nursery night. Ah well - hopefully he'll be able to have a long daytime nap there tomorrow if he needs one.
