Notes from a bald-eagle

A cold but still morning is an excellent time for a coastal dunes bird count. Over 3000 fieldfares were roosting in the trees and bushes or feeding on the substantial sea buckthorn berry crop. I love the sound they make as they call to each other, even when it drowns out the calls of other birds I'm trying to hear!
