Along the Way

Rosy-Fingered Dawn

This was the eastern sky this morning as I was leaving for work.

Actually, this is one of the few photos I've taken with the LX5 (I bought it just a few months ago to replace my LX2 as a "pocket" camera) where the result bore little resemblance to the real scene. The sky this morning was actually a rich peachy color, streaked with areas of a gorgeous peacock blue, but the camera recorded the colors as the reddish hue that you see here. I like the photo, but it's odd that it looks so different from the scene that I saw. The camera usually does much better than this.

Today also marks one full month of blips, one photo per day. I'm amazed that I've actually made it this far without missing a day!
