Close call

There was a real smell of burning in our office. We couldn't find it and assumed it was someone burning toast.

Turns out it was the central heating boiler!! It appears to have been merrily burning the floorboards underneath itself for ages!!

These bits of floor just broke off and everything under was black - really lucky that we caught it when we did or the whole building could have gone up!!
