Frozen rose

I spent a lovely morning in the park (once the dentist was over and done with), taking photos, including this one of a beautifully dead and frozen rose, but rather fun for a macro shot. Later on I'll be baking for the Lighthouse coffee shop at church this week, I think carrot and orange cupcakes, but perhaps something else, always fun to experiment. I may even take on the scary world of icing! As weird as it sounds for someone who loves baking, I've never iced anything. Growing up we didn't really have the kind of cakes you iced (except the annual Christmas cake), so it wasn't a skill I picked up. But life is full of opportunities to learn!
