The Red Arrows

Well kinda. In the blurred background of this shot are the Red Arrows practising over the skies of Lincoln. They're based at Scampton close by and can often been seen twirling through the air. Today they are a bit different however with at least one of the planes currently a black arrow. Two tragic deaths recently have meant one new plane and two new pilots have had to be recruited. It's a real treat to have them close by and they are as much a part of Lincoln as the Cathedral and The Imp.

In other news I failed miserably in my attempt to photograph a bird in the office car park today. Somehow I just managed to get a tree and some planes flying in formation. Sad really that I didn't notice them while I was there.
