Lincoln's Inn Fields

I've featured Lincoln's Inn Field before but I walk across it every morning on my way to work so I thought I would feature it again.

I love this structure in the middle, I suppose it must have been a bandstand at some point. These days trendy city types meet their personal trainers there early in the morning.

Apparently according to Wikipedia (where would we be without it!) Lincoln's Inn Field is the largest and oldest public square in London. It has Dickens connections. The Old Curiosity Shop (one of my first blips) is just round the corner and it is featured in Bleak House.

Other residents include the Queen's solicitors Farrer & Co, the John Soanes Museum, the London School of Economics and the Royal College of Surgeons (also featured in a blip).
