Going Fishing
Not me -- my neighbor. He built this drift boat from a kit, and it's beautiful. I helped him empty water from last night's rain out of it as he was preparing for a fishing trip to Idaho.
A drift boat is designed for fishing on whitewater rivers. The hull shape and lack of a keel makes it very maneuverable, as you can see in this short video showing a boat going through rapids on the McKenzie River in Oregon. It's taken from an unusual viewpoint -- the camera is mounted on a boom off to the side and is facing the boat.
Here's a link for Pensioner and any other boating people who'd like more information about drift boats.
