The wonderful Woodpigeon

I filled the feeder this morning and spread some sunflower hearts around and within a minute or two half a dozen Rooks turned up. Almost all of them flew away however when I came out of the garage. Thinking I could try and get a photo of a Rook, I came inside to get the camera (a couple of them had returned and were sitting in the trees). Unfortunately my presence caused them both to fly away yet again and a little while after this beautiful Woodpigeon landed on top of Dads arbour. With the sunlight hitting it it really brought out the shape of the feathers and that piercing yellow stare they have.
