Tim Minchin, State Theatre

Another dreadful photo!

But far from a dreadful night. We had the evening at the State Theatre seeing Tim Minchin versus the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. If you don't know Tim Minchin, google him. He's a very talented pianist, a songwriter and all round Aussie comedian with a love of flowery vocabulary and a comic, dry, often slightly rude study of the dichotomies of life. I've known of his songs for a few years now so it was fun to see him life - especially with the Sydney symphony orchestra. It was a highly entertaining, lively act with some fab music. 'free jazz'.

Bedtime now and the rain is hammering down. In spite of recording one of the hottest temperatures ever in January in Sydney this year, on average the temperatures have been the coldest in 12 years in sydney... And tonight there's a weather warning given the massive rainfall. Come on Australia, get your summer act together!!
