For peace
This is the Peace Pagoda in Milton Keynes, the first one to be built in the Western hemisphere. It was built by the monks and nuns of the Nippon Myohoji that the world may be saved from nuclear annihilation. A thousand cherry trees and cedars were planted on the hill around the pagoda in memory of the victims of all wars.
It was a lovely, sunny but very cold day today. I had a walk round the lake starting at the pagoda and then a lovely lunch at the Camphill Trust.
