Pillows in placky bags

Emma's amazing invention to enable slurping of hot chocolates sitting down in the snow: pillows in placky bags. It bought us hours of chatter time beneath the freakishly sweltering January sun- we'd originally planned to ski all day, but after an hour or so of goating around on the cross country track, many miles advanced of our capabilities, we conveniently found ourselves a short clamber away from Ems' digs where there was promise of hot chocolate + lentils. I think we gave the efforts a good shot though, chortling our way into the crispened frosty morning, blissfully slopping + sliding along beneath a promisingly light whispy sky absent of any sight reducing cover, urging new rays to strike their first spot light onto the southernmost tips of the rock infested inclines. We forgot to turn right to go and have a look at ponies on the nice flat course and instead opted for the more advanced, but epically more beautiful rollercoaster of a track meandering through thick forest, still rigid with iced snow + recovering from the remains of the freezing night that had so recently passed. Lycra attired potentially professional co skiers would skate by with a ferocious panache, drenched in Apline sponsors : an obligatory nod of acceptance of our presence would begrudgingly be conducted before their crunching tight thighs would gyrate their way into the immediate distance..
