Fighting crime and the causes of crime

I once witnessed a preparation for a robbery, quite by chance. I must have been about 10 or so and I was playing with friends where my daughters play, with that same friend's daughters. People came to a building and we were doing some serious spying on them. It was all very mysterious. I think we probably took notes imagined the worst in our minds, then probably went home and to bed.

The next morning we learned that there had been a burglary in the same building, in the middle of the night and some crime had been committed.

Oh yes, this was that building.
