Over The Hills, And Round The Bends.

The Howardian Hills. Perfect for a leisurely drive in the country. But less than ideal for a Diversion.

Beautiful villages. Fields. Trees. Country Inns. Ancient Churches. Tea Rooms.

Narrow country lanes. Going up and down the hills. Lots of hills. And round the bends. Lots and lots of bends. Oh and over all the bridges that are really just ancient and very beautiful speed humps.

Normally there is very little traffic but today, because it is a Diversion, there is lots of it. In both directions. Including HUGE LORRIES. And mainly driven by very impatient drivers.

So, very glad to eventually see the END OF DIVERSION sign!
