Approach to stairway to Hindu temples in Batu cave
True to his word, our driver arrived and took us to here. We climbed the 274 steps, with decreasing enthusiasm but were pleased to have made it. Huge natural space with umpteen shrines to this God and that. Quiet today, but next week it will be swarming with devotees, for one of the biggest religious festivals.
Then on to the batik outlet (+Ve) and pewter outlet (-Ve).
Some readers may recall we were pick-pocketed in Paris, Barcelona, Prague, etc., etc. Well it happened again. On alighting from the skytrain the old "block & fluster" method was applied, and my pocket emptied of a few tens of Ringgits. The bad guys shot off and went up to the other line. Little did they know that we had been travelling in the wrong direction and were also changing lines. They were confronted by this angry Scotsman and persuaded to return their ill gotten gains by inappropriate Anglo Saxon terminology. "Give me my xxxxxxx money or we are going to talk to that nice policeman downstairs!" That's lesson #27. Hope it sinks in!
Say Hi Nora. (I know that's not real Japanese, but we're not in Japan.)
