The broken A.

What's with the broken A? I asked.

Apparently Alan and Anna adored it. And each other.
They acquired it when they moved into their apartment.
It was their favourite adornment. The big A.
But Anna started attracting attention from an acupuncturist,
and Alan got angry. He started acting up with an abstract artist.
Things started going awry, and soon, they agreed to live apart.
The apartment was left empty.
All that was left was the A. Abandoned and all alone.
