GLASS IN A GLASS
These two bottles of sea shore glass sparkle in the -8c sunlight this morning. It took a long time to collect this hoard but what stories it could tell. When this lot was being made my grandfather was working below ground hewing coal just a hundred yards away. My grandmother was a cook in Lord Londonderry's kitchen nearby.
The bottle on the left was once filled with Powleys lemonade, fizzed up in Sunderland. The other bottle was dug out of the bank side at Cowdenbeath Football Ground/Stock car track. It was once filled with Watson's Fish Brand pop. Yuk!
