Wonderful whitley bay

geet caad like, but man it's canny...

popped down to whitley bay for a couple of days to see the lovely M and her family (and new addition, sparky the black labrador pup - no pic, he didn't sit still for more than 10 seconds!). we pottered about and i spent a fair amount of time playing dinosaurs with young constantine while maria got enough peace to make a cuppa and shove food in the oven, but there are worse ways to spend an hour really. and we did get an hour to ourselves for a walk on the beach (and a coffee and cake stop) while the young master was at nursery :-)

i do love the beach, and the north-east in general - much as i love edinburgh i know where is home. even if it is bloody freezing...
