A frozen landscape
The temperature has barely climbed above zero all day but the light has been sparkling and the air crisp. It was an early start this morning as I responded to the alarms at 5.00am, a not infrequent occurrence as the Polish supermarket opens and the first vodka of the day is sold. The purchasers regularly knock on the windows and smash their bottles in the yard. It's a nuisance.
It could be a view of the Russian steppe but for the furrows. It certainly felt like that this morning.
