Walk on
It was brrrrrrrrrr today, especially in the night-time wind around the Barbican. Fred and I went to the theatre there to see The Long Count with the The National's Dressner brothers, Kelley Deal, Shara Warden from My Brightest Diamond, Tunde Adebimpe from TV on the Radio and the Heritage Orchestra. It was a real feast for the eyes and Kelley Deal in particular was fab. I loved the orchestral sounds, too.
On the icy front, the back garden didn't rise above freezing today. I caught a teenage squirrel poking the ice in the bird bath in puzzlement that it couldn't reach the seeds below the water's surface. I'm glad it didn't try to lick the water - do squirrels ever get their tongues stuck on ice?
