bitterbrush

several days ago, I mentioned that bitterbrush is hell of bitter. This is the seed, the bitter part. Purshia tridentata, like the rose, apple, cherry, pear, and many other plants, is in the family Rosaceae. It's an important plant in reclamation projects, as it grows quickly and helps prevent erosion; it also is an important grazing supply for antelope, deer, and other big game.

Collection included holding the bag under a branch and hitting said branch with a stick.
