1 Fox, 5 Herons 2 Kingfishers

What a glorious day! After lunch took Tallulah for our Friday afternoon walk to the bird sanctuary. The river and wet lands were pretty much frozen so the herons had taken refuge on the long boats. Emmm they made quite a mess! Fantastic shots of herons on and alongside boats.

All that could be seen on the wet lands was a fox - that was a surprise. He could be the reason why there were no birds about... yum yum.

Then on the way back we bumped into another Airedale owner and whilst chatting they pointed out a kingfisher. How fantastic I was over the moon. I have always wanted to see one and saw it so perfectly. Then I walked on a bit further and there were two kingfishers! Oh the decision on what to Blip was so hard. The pictures of them are good but only when I zoom in so settled for this cheeky heron.
