Phew...

i've been waiting for a month since my last short-term contract ran out to get the paperwork for the renewal which i have been assured for the last four weeks i was getting. turns out i'm not getting renewed but taken on permanently! yay! i've been trying to get this for two years - no idea how it happened, considering the climate of the company at the moment (more importantly, no idea who nagged enough to get it to happen), but i'm just grateful it's all there in black and white. i feel i've got enough security to actual plan for a future of mortgages and buying furniture, not a future of spending a month in every six wondering if i'm getting kept on and not daring to do anything in case it all falls apart.
