Freezing Harbour

Just a handfull of Fishing boats in the harbour tonight, moored alongside the pier wall this boat is enclosed by ice which shows clear signs of breaking up.It was unbelievable cold on the harbour that it penetrated through to the bones,No Joking.

The scaffold recently built this week is for repairs to the Ice machine that supplies the fishing boats as they come & go with their catches.

Several weeks ago when the harbour was hit with Storm force winds it caused one of the Fishing Boats mooring ropes to come adrift causing a whip lash effect striking one of the Trawlermen in the face causing serious facial injuries. So it can be a dangerous occupation even in harbour.
