Hokitika Gorge

A trip down to Hokitika today to visit my parents and to take Kiwilizzie to the Hokitika Gorge as she's not been before.

The weather was overcast (and stinking hot and humid) and so the colour in the gorge isn't as bright as it can be. I know that sounds crazy when you consider how bright this water is but usually it is an even brighter shade of turquoise!

Then we took a drive up to Lake Kaniere and Dorothy Falls. Very pretty, but I didn't have my tripod and didn't think to borrow KL's spare so not the best photos I've ever taken.
