Blue Mountains

We were really looking forward to this trip - the brochures looked fantastic - however we awoke to a steady drizzle which continued all day ! As we climbed up into the mountains visibility was almost zero - the driver did a superb commentary to keep us entertained. At the top we were hoping to ride in a cable car and return via the steepest railway in the world - there was no point as we could see nothing. We met up with an Irish couple who kept us entertained ! On the return journey we stopped again to look at wild life - great on e of Alan with the kangaroos ! The driver also gave us a tour of the Sydney 2000 Olympic complex which was an added bonus.We then caught another ferry back to Darling harbour - where we got talking to folks from Reading! We say good bye to Oz tomorrow so early start for N.Z.
